‘EXPRESS DAYS’ OFFERED AT IOWA LAKES
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting ‘Express
Registration’ Days in the next several weeks as
the spring term draws near.
All five campuses in Algona, Emmetsburg,
Estherville, Spencer and Spirit Lake will host
the days on Thursday, Dec. 17; Friday, Dec. 18;
Thursday, Jan. 7; and, Monday, Jan. 11. Hours
will be 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 17, Jan. 7 and
Jan. 11. Hours on Dec. 18 will be from 7:30
a.m. to 4 p.m.
The goal of the ‘Express Registration’ days is
to provide a wide range of services for
individuals interested in completing the entire
admissions and registration process in a short
amount of time. The college offers these days
to assist individuals who have busy work
schedules and other activities. Those
interested are encouraged to arrive no later
than 2:30 p.m. to ensure they get all their
questions answered. It would be best for those
attending Friday, Dec. 18 to arrive by 2 p.m.
Students should bring their diploma, GED
certificate, ACT scores and college transcripts
to the admissions office when they arrive on
campus if they have them.
Attendees can receive one-on-one financial aid
application assistance from the college's
financial aid staff, assistance with the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid, and
information on scholarships, work study and
student loans. To appropriately place future
students in the correct classes, Asset
assessments will be offered throughout each of
the days.
Spring classes at Iowa Lakes Community College
begin Jan. 14.
Those interested in attending Iowa Lakes in the
spring term are reminded that the college is
closed for the holiday break Dec. 24-Jan. 3,
reopening on Monday, Jan. 4.
